On January 29, 2026, a comprehensive presentation on the use of telescopes was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bingul, hosted by the Department of Optical and Acoustical Engineering at our university. The event began at 10:30 a.m. with a theoretical session, followed by a 30-minute coffee break. After the break, the event was concluded with practical observation sessions.

The advanced telescopes and observation facilities available in the Optical and Acoustical Engineering laboratory constituted one of the main focal points of the event. Thanks to the automatic tracking systems, celestial phenomena were observed with high precision, and this innovative feature attracted great interest from the participants.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Toktamış, Dr. Derya Yüksel, Dr. Şirin Uzun Çam, and Research Assistant Hasan Çite. With the participation of physics engineer Bektaş Mehmet Ateş, the event once again highlighted the significance of Optical and Acoustical Engineering in telescope technologies.

Additionally, within the scope of the event, evaluations were made regarding planned future observations and developments in this field, drawing attention to the department’s potential.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bingul for his valuable presentation and contributions.
